Universal Century 0079: The jungles of Southeast Asia. During the One Year War, the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon are fighting a brutal guerrilla war for control of the area and its resources.
Based on the OVA Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team written and illustrated by 08th MS Team animation director Umanosuke Iida.
Following the sudden death of Umanosuke Iida in November of 2010, Kadokawa Shoten announced a compilation of all four volumes in one, titled Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team U.C.0079 + α Tribute. The α Tribute released June 18, 2011 and included four additional short stories that were not in the original run.
